Before setting Dragonfly Ink & Renew, Sophie spent over two decades working as a makeup artist in film and television — a career that took her around the world and onto the sets of iconic productions like Tomb Raider, James Bond, and Troy. she had the privilege of working closely with actors such as Brad Pitt and Eric Bana, and was lucky enough to be part of the early careers of now-household names like Kelly Reilly, Michael Fassbender (Eden Lake), and Jack O’Connell (SAS: Rogue Heroes).
But beyond the glamour, what always moved her most was the quiet confidence that makeup could give someone — how the right touch could help someone step into a role, or feel more like themselves. Over time, that passion evolved, she wanted to create something more lasting, more meaningful — to use her skills not just to enhance, but to heal. That’s what led her to medical tattooing. Today, instead of getting people camera-ready, she helps them feel life-ready — blending scars, softening stretch marks, restoring hairlines, and ultimately helping people reconnect with their own confidence.

What to expect
Treatments can last from 40 mins to 2 hrs or more depending on the area being treated but this will be discussed in your consultation.
Sophie uses a PMU tattoo machine with tiny needles for precision targeting.
This can be felt on the skin but no numbing is required as it doesn't hurt. Promise!
After the treatment the area will swollen and pink for 24-48 hrs and you will need to protect the area from tight clothing, and keep it clean.

Healing can take anything between 2-6 weeks But Everyone is different.
